A fabulous pin from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This wonderful piece is crafted in 14k rosy yellow gold and features the three-dimensional image of a fierce tiger's head resting at the top of a stick pin. The die-struck tiger is wonderfully detailed with tiny ruby cabochon eyes, bold, textured fur, and an open mouth in mid-roar. Clenched in between his ferocious pointed fangs is a single approximately .10ctw Old Mine cut sparkling diamond in a 4-prong setting, and the entire head is enameled with bright oranges, yellows, and black for the stripes. The stick is stamped "14k" just behind the tiger's head. The pin is an exceptional piece for any stick pin collection and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The stick pin measures approximately 2 1/2" in total length. The tiger's face measures slightly more than 1/2" wide, is 5/8" tall, and is approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the stick pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting and the diamond and rubies are all intact and securely set.
