A big and bold pin from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in platinum and 14k yellow gold, this special brooch is comprised of a large piece of carved jasper in the shape of a "D" ring. The carved jasper boasts a warm scarlet hue with flecks of light orange and off white. Dangling from the jasper via diamond-encrusted brackets is a triangular-shaped dangle crafted in platinum and pavé-set with old single and mine cut diamonds of various shapes and sizes. We estimate there to be approximately 1.25ctw in diamonds, total. The platinum dangle is elegantly accented with micro-milgrain detail and scrolling cutouts, a perfect nod to the elegance of the pre-art deco Edwardian era. The backside of the pin features a straight pin with locking closure. The pin is marked "585", as well as the initials AT and an unidentifiable hallmark. All in all, this stunning brooch would look perfect on a lapel, fur stole, or even on a ribbon or chain as a fabulous pendant!

Measurements: The pin measures 3 1/4" long and 1 5/8" at its widest point.

Condition: The pin is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The pin mechanism is secure and in good working condition.
